Bondestugan in Fröjel

My name is Örjan Melin, and I built the Bondestugan cottage near Sandhamn in Fröjel. My family helped me with the interior design and other details. My family consists of my partner Åsa and our two children, Thomas, aged 20, and Malin, aged 16.

I have always wanted to build a house, and through the Bondestugan project I finally had the opportunity to do so. We have included plenty of windows facing the sea and hope our guests will enjoy many beautiful sunsets.

We live on a farm called Hallgårds, a few kilometres from the cottage. It is a true family farm that has been run by our family since the 17th century. Today, we operate the farm with dairy cows and produce animal feed and grain. Our cats also live on the farm. You are very welcome to visit us and meet the animals. Please contact us in advance so we can arrange a suitable time.
